No plain talking
This book acts as an instruction booklet explaining each feature of the camera in technical terms. It doesn't convert those explanations and apply them to use in the field. After reading most of the book I was left feeling confused and gained little knowledge on how to use the camera. I don't understand who this book is for? If you are a beginner it is more of a factual reference guide and if you are experienced then you wouldn't really need it in the first place. Very disappointing. I have now ordered the 'Nikon D40/D40X Digital Field Guide' which I hope will live up to its title.
