Gone with the fairies
I agree with another reviewer, Jonathan Cainer has been a respected Astrologer for many, many years. Based on his astrological teachings he has given his readers many years of pleasurable reading, claiming that your future is already predicted by virtue of the day you are born.
Although staunchly linked with astrology, he has now firmly aligned his allegiance to cosmic ordering, which unlike astrology is a way to influence your future and make changes within your life.
It is agreed, many people have been writing about cosmic ordering only using a different name for many years, years earlier than Jonathan, this is true. But no one has ever applied astrological learning to cosmic ordering, because it can't done! As much as Noel Edmonds claimed people might think he had 'gone with the fairies' because of his new cosmic beliefs, then so it is of Jonathan Cainer with his guardian angel scenario.
No one is faulting the motives of such a move from astrology to cosmic ordering, it is a shrewd move. After having read the content's of this book I feel it is just that, a shrew move based on garnering extra income. Look at most of the cosmic ordering books, all based on the New Age belief of the author with the exceptrion of this book and the book written by a female astrologer.
Here is a book that could have been a little gem, but manages to fall by the wayside. Many years ago should anyone have asked Jonathan about cosmic ordering, he may well have laughed and scoffed at the idea, as his ideology was so set in astrology. Suddenly he now speaks of guardian angels and says that you can change your future by speaking with yourself, as a guardian angel. Make of it what you will.
tripe
What a right parcel of tripe! I have read books that have been put down by reviewers that are far better than this. Compared to Debbie Franks' book this is a right load of head banging stuff that is just way too contrived to be taken seriously enough for this subject matter. Cainer, stick to fortune telling, you're fired!
"Circle Talk" Spread over 159 pages.
The back cover of this book has the words "THE NEW WORLDWIDE PHENOMENON" written in bright yellow.
Praise indeed? Well NO! as it is self praise which is never a good thing, even for a book stuck to the wheel of the "COSMIC" bandwaggon. All this book does is call awareness to the subject.
Once I was engaged in the middle it suddenly dawned on me that the author had NOTHING to say. A wonderful example of "CIRCLE TALK" spread over 159 pages containing little guidence or instruction. A waste of time and money as there appeared to be contradictions littered in every chapter.
If you have ever seen Xena:WP on tv then you will spot the subtle charactor references.
There is a positive though, Johnathon Cainer's Cosmic Ordering book is written in the first person, as though an actual Guardian Angel was speaking directly to you. That is the only positive.
Consider this reading material like a stepping stone, or and introductory work slowly easing you on to the topic in a small way, like a menu that introduces food to wet your appetites.
I did not enjoy this book as I prefer to read Johnathon's work on a daily astrological basis and not as an author.
