Synopsis
Glossy medical drama, HARLEY STREET, follows the tense lives, loves, and scalpel-slicing-action of a lively General Practice on London's prestigious Harley Street. Suranne Jones stars as strong-minded Dr. Martha Elliot, who heads up the Practice's gifted staff, including; Dr. Robert Fielding (Paul Nicholls) a passionate career-driven GP with an eye for the ladies, cosmetic surgeon with a conscience Dr. Ekkow Obiang (Shaun Parkes) and the uber-efficient and always-professional Nurse Annie Harker (Kim Medcalf).
The series explores the group dynamics of a team working under pressure, with some difficult home truths, personal relationships and secrets gradually coming to light. Rival Harley Street surgeon Dr. Felix Quinn (Oliver Dimsdale), raises the tension further, both in and out of surgery, with his romantic pursuit of Martha. All under the watchful eye of Robert, who also just so happens to be Martha's ex. With so much drama and a steady stream of colourful patients to treat, there's never a dull moment at 195 Harley Street.

Entertaining Drama4
I really enjoyed this series and hope there'll be a second one. It's interesting to see the comparison between the private and casualty work that Robert does in the series. I enjoyed seeing Paul Nicholls back on television again and Suranne Jones proved she is more than just Karen McDonald.

You'll either love it or hate it5
This is one of those tv programmes that people will either love or hate. I have to say that I thought it was brilliant. Great acting and good storylines that keep you gripped. I'd reccommend it!

Should have been a huge hit.5
Highly enjoyable 6 part ITV series, built round three GPs working from their Harley Street practice. The principal actors were well rounded and entirely believable. The series also gave the opportunity for guest actors to appear as patients. What a shame a second series wasn't forthcoming. It should have been a huge hit, but, sadly, wasn't. Despite this, I thoroughly recommend this very entertaining DVD.
