Ferrier Remembered
I once saw the great lass perform some of these songs with the Halle under Barbirolli in a mid-week concert. She was superb and the audience love of her was almost tangible. That's why it's so good to have this album on CD regardless of the quality from the originals. Nothing could ever take away the magnificence of her glorious voice. Well done, Decca!
Kathleen Ferrier - A Tribute
Excellent value. All the favourite recordings + lots more treasures. The recording I've looked for for many years. But, having grown up on adored fuzzy recordings of Ferrier, I was a little disappointed that some of the background 'noise' on earlier recordings STILL hadn't been edited out - surely, in this digital age, this is possible: even our local radio station (round the corner from where KK went to school) managed to filter the 'hiss' and scritchiness out - so why couldn't Decca for this very special 'golden' edition?

A marvellous album containing many of her greatest songs. having grown up listening to her magnificent voice it is a great pleasure to have so many of her songs in this collection, and at such a reasonable price
