Spine tingling - walk with Morse along the canal path
Wow! The atmosphere created by this CD is electric. - Pat Treacy's 'Yesterday is Here' a superb choice to open this box of delights. A very clever combination of Composers and Performers which take you through all your emotions. Close your eyes and recall the moment Morse is charmed by a female, wrestles with a cryptic clue and still has time to solve a crime. By the time of 'The final case' I was moved to tears. Gabriel Faure's Requiem was certainly a fitting tribute for Inspector Morse.
Immense pleasure - bought another copy for my Father-in-Law - everyone should hear this.
A Great Christmas Present
I usually don't like compilation CDs, but the previous two reviews are right - this is something special. I have just bought seven copies to give as Christmas presents. Whatever your mood, this wonderful recording lifts you up and transports you to a land of misty meadows and dreaming spires. The transposition of the theme tune into the major key on 'Goodbye Sir' is such a fitting tribute to a great actor and a great TV series. Goodbye Sir - we miss you.
Very special
As soon as you play this cd you know it is something special, made even more so now that John Thaw is sadly no longer with us. Sad at times, thought provoking and highly charged with many emotions. I agree with the previous review, everyone should have a copy of this.
