Morals and Characteristics
I found this book heavy going at first, as the last will of the author was difficult reading. But when the actual text started then I found a series of interesting insights.

Its a worthy book to look into the character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

At the same time it is not a story narrating events, its more a book about a description of charactersitics that he possessed. One amazing one was when he said that he feared feeling proud when his companions walk behind him. So he would make his companions walk infront of him, what leader of nation would make people walk infront of him? This man is more than just a leader, much more.

Excellent Book for Summarising Morals (Adab) in Islam
Imam Birgivi, who was a muslim scholar in Ottoman Empire in 16th century, is summarising morals(Adab)within Islam in this book. The real name of the book is "Tariqat al muhammadiyya" which is highly respected book in islamic countries. It is still used in many islamic universities as a book to teach moral issues within the islam. People who would like to learn the manners and morals in islam will find this book very useful. It shows what are the blemishes and deseases within the nafs(ego) of human being in order to protect one's self against them. It explains them one by one in the light of hadiths and Qur'an. Good summary of Prophet Muhammad's characteristics and features at the beginnig of the book. Shaikh Tosun Bayrak's translation is plain and very easy to understand even by people whose mother language is not english. At the beginning of the book, explanation about 5 pillars of islam and conditions of faith(Iman) in islam are explained concisely.
