Customer Reviews
A Great Guide to Karate Fighting Techniques
A great guide to fighting, it has really helped me alot in my fighting techniques. It is certainly worth buying if you are a more experianced karate pupil. A great buy.
From 10th Kyu to 5th Dan - Beginner or Advanced.
When I first saw the title of this book & the authors name I wrongly assumed it was an advanced book about Kumite (sparring). It isn't. In only 86 pages the late Master Enoeda & Charles Mack take you from the most basic of punches and kicks to very advanced self defence techniques, that I have to admit I did not know existed myself and had never heard of. The book is packed with lots of clear photos & clear & concise explanations of all the techniques used. A fantastic book for both beginner & advanced Shotokan Karate-ka.
nothing special
Allthough with much respect for the late sensei Enoeda, I was disapointed about this book, Most of It is for the new Karateka, basic kumite techniques and Most of it is what you would learn in a club in a relativ short time (6 months). the word basic should have been mentioned on the cover. There is very little for the mediate to advanced student. that said the 86 pages has clear pictures and good description of the techniques and could for beginners be a source of reference.
So for me 3 stars.
