	Dynamic Karate: Instruction by the Master. by Masatoshi Nakayama Buy new: £11.34 / Used from: £7.95 This book written by Sensei Nakayama, is another must have for any Shotokan practitioner. It explains how Shotokan 'works' and how the techniques are employed in the greatest of detail. A MUST HAVE!
	The Beginner's Guide to Shotokan Karate by John van Weenen Buy used from: £8.38 This book is perfect for anyone who wishes to start learning Shotokan Karate. This book is easily capable of taking you through, and helping you to understand everything from beginner to brown belt.
	Bo: Karate Weapon of Self-Defense by Fumio Demura Buy new: £8.25 / Used from: £4.95 If you love Karate, this is a GREAT book to bring you into the world of weapons for karate, start with the Bo.
	Tonfa: Karate Weapon of Self-Defense by Fumio Demura Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £3.92 If you want to develop your weapon skills even more, then this could be the next step. Here you will be going a little closer to the Kubodo line (Okinawan weapon art) but it is interesting.
	The Twenty Guiding Principles of Karate by Gichin Funakoshi Buy new: £7.17 / Used from: £5.04 This book seems a bit much for what it is but for any series karateka it won't matter to you. This book, written by Gichin Funakoshi himself, is a true helper in helping you to understand karate.
	The Shotokan Karate Handbook: Beginner to Black Belt (Fifth Edition) by Gursharan Sahota Buy new: £9.25 / Used from: £3.70 This is another great beginners book that will take you from beginner to black belt. It covers slightly more material then Sensei Van Weenen's book, but has less extras.
	Shotokan Karate Handbook: Advanced (Advanced Edition) by Gursharan Sahota Buy new: £8.61 / Used from: £6.50 This is for advanced students as it cover kata and kumite you'll only experience once you have your black belt. Its not the easiest book to follow, but it really helped me learn and go over my katas.
	The Bible of Karate: The Bubishi (Tuttle Martial Arts) by Patrick McCarthy Buy new: £13.49 / Used from: £5.00 This is a book for the series karateka. It won't so much as help you to improve you techniques in a direct way, however it will give you a deeper understanding of karate.
	The Karate Kid/The Karate Kid Part 2/The Karate Kid Part 3 [DVD] [1984] Buy used from: £2.39 These movies may seem old fashioned now, however they still have many good points in them which any martial artist can learn from.
	T'ai Chi And QiGong - The Prescription For The Future - An Anthology [DVD] Buy new: £37.19 I had to include this as it is an AMAZING DVD. That sums it up. And you it really works. With this DVD you will be experiencing Tai Chi & QiGong in its fullest and with ease. IT PERFECT!
	The Last Samurai (Two Disc Edition) [2003] [DVD] [2004] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £0.83 THIS MOVIE CAN'T BE DESCRIBED IN WORDS!! IT EXCELLENT!! If you haven't seen it, then put it at the top of your to do list, you won't regreat it!! Not only that, but there are good lessons in it.
