Beautiful photographs and nice recipes, but badly indexed
Although the photographs are beautiful and the recipes mouth-watering and easy to follow, it's difficult to find a favourite dish.

Having to look up classics of Vietnamese cuisine like pho under "soup, beef and rice noodle, Hanoi" or banh cuon as "ravioli, steamed and rolled" is a little frustrating.

A pronunciation guide would have been nice, too.

This is a beautiful as well as practical book.
This book is wonderful. The recipes are clear and easy to follow. The ingredients are now more available to the home cook. The photography is great.The author is a superb teacher. I am very disappointed that this book is out of print.
