Synopsis

1960's this is it!
Well this one has it it all ..love it or hate it ..the movie tells the story of 'Joy'..broken down by her thieving thug of a husband..and they moved to 'Ruislip'..once caught..her husband that is..she was helpless with a small baby to bring up..enter Terrence Stamp..in one of his most fine acting performances..the story has it's moments..but shows TRUE British culture in the 1960's and also make you aware of how time has progressed..recommended viewing..I LOVE THIS ONE...

Cowabunga
At a time when we produced the best films (4o's, 50's and 60's). This is British drama at its finest. Honest, gritty, dark and fun. We sometimes forget the past and the relevance of a film set in those times. This film shows social values of its time. Wonderful acting and direction. Watch and enjoy.

Bleak
Man this was depressing! A slice of gritty working class life in the 60's but despite a strong performance from Carol White, it just meanders from one bleak set up to the next. Terence Stamp is wasted and doesnt get the amount of screen time he deserves. If you want a more rounded film from this era go for 'Up The Junction' of 'A Taste Of Honey' instead.
