I now have healthy happy dogs4
I thought before I read this book that I was doing the best for my dogs by buying the best dog food available. I changed them 'cold turkey' to their new diet - it made so much sense. Now I have leaner healthier dogs who chew their food instead of bolting it, they love the variety of the fruit and veg which I would never let them eat before to avoid 'funny tummy'. No more smelly breathe, no more fights about the toothbrush, no nasty black teeth, no more bouts of the runs. Their whole bodies smells sweeter. Now I know I'm feeding them the best and it is so easy and soooo much cheaper too. If you love your dog you need this book.

Probably best reading this AFTER reading a more simple book.4
This is a good book for someone wanting to feed their dog a more healthy, natural diet HOWEVER - it repeats itself a lot making it quite a tedious read! I found it quite useful - however, if I had not read NATURAL NUTRITION FOR CATS AND DOGS by Kymmathy (I forgot her surname!) then I think that it would have confused me! Also, as the book is written by an Australian author most food references / diseases are those native to australia i.e. Kangaroo... I'd definately recommend reading this book AFTER reading a more simple, easy to follow, easy to read book such as Natural Nutrition for cats and dogs!!!

Barfing is good for you!5
Although this book can get a bit repetitious, it is well worth reading. This is THE way to feed a dog - or cat; it is good for them and good for you - no more expensive crap dog food that stinks - and makes them stink too; much reduced vet costs, food bills and so on.
Reading this made perfect sense to me, this IS what dogs are meant to eat, it's what their teeth were developed to cope with, as well as their digestions, and at last someone in the veterinary world has finally come out of the closet to say it.
And it is easy to do, feeding my dogs is now quicker than opening a can or packet.
Train your local butcher to get the stuff you need. My butcher just asks me for donations to the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
My dogs have never been happier or healthier - and my 5mth pup looks fabulous, as he gets ready for the showring.
