Absolutely loved this movie and I'm not much of a fan of Carry On. Harry H Corbett shows us amazing glimpses of his talent and genius as he hams it up with the rest of the crew. I heard that Sid James had originally been cast as the Sherlock Holmes character, but Harry was the best choice and his performance is polished and a joy to watch. Some wonderful set pieces which had me laughing out loud and the usual silly scenes we can expect from a Carry On movie. The story never gets tired and will appeal to all ages. I'm also sure that sultry Fenella Fielding could still cause a fashion stampede for replica red gowns.

Good English fun5
Hilarious. Outrageous. Cheeky. Silly characters with saucy words. Silly tame scare factors. Brilliant actors such as the great Kenneth Williams and Fienella Fielding and Harry.H.Corbet, and also Peter Butterworth. It's all just good old romping fun, not to be taken seriously at all and just watched because it always makes us laugh.

Frying tonight!!!!!5
There are no words to describe the brilliance of this parody of the horror movies of the past.

If you have seen Frankenstein, The Mummy, or even the werewolf movies of old, and have a wacky sense of humour like me, then you will enjoy this one immensely. If you are a stick in the mud prude, then don't watch.

The only thing better at parodying these styles of movies are the great Abbott and Costello movies.

Utterly brilliant Carry On.

Buy it.
