Manufacturer's Description
To further enhance the capability of Kenwood’s Chef and Major kitchen machines, a wide range of attachments have been developed. Each attachment uses a specific outlet according to the speed it needs to run at and each outlet is optimized for a range of dedicated food preparation tasks.
For use on the bowl outlet of the Kenwood Chef kitchen machine, the AT956A Ice Cream Maker makes the smoothest ice cream, frozen yoghurt and sorbets. It uses a pre-frozen bowl, which sits in the existing bowl and makes 1 Litre of soft scoop ice cream or sorbet in just 20 minutes.

maybe I'm just unlucky?
On the second time of using this product the paddle got stuck and snapped! Not sure if this was just unlucky or a manufacturing fault, so am sending for a replacement paddle, and we'll see. Otherwise makes upto 1 litre of gorgeously smooth, creamy ice cream!
Ice Ice Baby
I'd say you were unlucky; bought this as a present for my Mum and feedback from her is that it's straightforward to use, seems pretty robust, and is easy to clean. A bit pricey I thought but have looked elsewhere and is as much if not more.
Kenwood chef Ice Cream maker
I made four batches of ice cream very successfully, and was pleased with this attachment. However, during the fifth batch I heard a strange noise coming from the mixer. I found that the paddle which churns the ice cream had twisted and broken completely in half. The supplier - Discount UK - were unable to provide a replacement paddle for the model which they had sold to us. Enquiries to Kenwood revealed that they could not trace the model number, and therefore could not supply a replacement paddle. Very disappointing. To be fair, we have been promised a full refund together with the postage costs.
