Product Description

Smoking is not just a bad habit, it is a complex and powerful
addiction. Most books miss this central point and offer only offer tricks
and tactics. "The Stop Smoking Secret" teaches the smoker how to recognise
and deal with the absolute core of their addiction problem - psychological
denial.

As a test, this book attracted over 40,000 downloads on the Internet -
proof that help really is needed when people decide to break free from
smoking.

The social climate at present is one where smokers are being subjected to
more and more pressure not to smoke and society is changing to reflect the
feeling that smoking is rapidly becoming socially unacceptable.

"The Stop Smoking Secret" allows readers to control their mental dependency
on cigarettes and teaches them how to overcome their addiction to smoking.

Customer Reviews

Simple, interesting and it worked!5
The stop smoking secret is a facinating read - it explores the inner workings of the addictive mind and I identified strongly with the concepts discussed. It's title is a little misleading though as there is no real single secret to be learned, but this is a minor critique as I HAVE NOT SMOKED or had any real difficulty since reading this book four months ago. I would suggest it as essential reading material for anyone who would like to stop!
AAAAA+++++

This is the answer!5
Pros: I've quit smoking thanks to this book! I was a hard core 2-3 pack a day smoker and I immediately liked the book's message that I was begining a battle, that I was preparing to fight, that there were mental and physical tools you can use to DO battle, and that you WILL WIN this battle, if you keep to the method.

I've read other quit smoking books that try to convince you that what you are feeling is not real and it is better to ignore or distract yourself from these false feelings, expecially after the first few weeks when even you wonder when the pain going to end. This book tells you exactly what to expect and what do do about it. This book is the no nonsense deal for people wishing to give up the butts once and for all. Forget the gum, shots, and leave the lasers alone. This IS the final anwser.

Cons: Nothing

Disappointing read!2
I appreciate this goes against the grain of other reviews but hope this provides a balance. I have read a great deal of books on the subject and have researched the matter to gain the best possible understanding and balanced view.

With this in mind, I found this book full of negativity. It constantly refers the reader to the "pain" and "discomfort" of giving up and the positive messages are often later retracted by the reminder of your sub-concious willing to destroy your efforts.

I applaud anyone who gave up on this material and indeed the author for providing further guidance on doing so. However, solely in my opinion, I would more greatly recommend Neil Casey's "The Nicotine Trick" which is entirely more informative, humorous and offers a deeper understanding of why you smoke and how to tackle that at source.

Ultimately, how you give up is immaterial, just so long as you do and again well done to those who have.
