I read it at school and was immediately hooked
Smith, an every day lowlife in old-time london has taken upon himself to be a pick-pocket. One day he sees an old man murdered and all of a sudden his life is not just as easy as picking someone's pocket. Smith has stumbled upon something in the poor man's pocket, something that must be worth the old man's life
Smith is a brilliant book that really captures your heart.
Smith is excellent and really captures the feeling of the small boy in turmoil. The little poor thief who gets himself into all sorts of trouble but always manages to escape it. An amazing book, positively brilliant!
This book was written in a hard to understand language.
The story is about a pickpocket in London who gets himself caught up in a murder.He gets hold of a document which belonged to the murdered man.The only thing is, he can't read. Whilst he tries to find someone who will teach him to read he mislays the document.
