It is effective for reducing distant haze in landscape pictures taken on sunny days, especially when using black-and-white film. The filter has no effect on exposure and little effect on color temperature and can be used as a protective filter.

The usual Canon build quality. It does what it says on the box. For those that prefer the "Canon" brand - you will not be dissapointed.

PRICEY Postage & Packaging.
Item as described, and well packed and delivered quickly. However as per the reviews the cost of postage and packaging was off the scale. Why did you buy it? I hear you shout. I needed it quick and not having a decent photoshop within 2 hours drive I bought it. However, this was bought before the financial world imploded and I certainly will not buy such items again via Amazon, with such a high P&P. I have found high street retailers via the net who have realistic pricing.
