This round glass preserving jar is perfect for homemade jam, marmalade, chutney or even your own pickled onions. The preserving jar comes with a twist off lid which seals and captures the fresh flavour of your homemade produce. The jar can also be used to store wrapped sweets or nuts.
For a home made preserve, why not try a plum and apple jam. Ingredients include 750g plums, 750g apples (peeled and cored), 450ml water and 1.5kg sugar. Simply wash the plums and apples and place in a maslin pan with water. Cook the fruit slowly until the skins of the plums are softened. Add the sugar, stir over low heat until dissolved, bring to the boil and boil rapidly until setting point is reached. Remove the stones as they rise to the surface. Then remove from the heat, skim off any residue and spoon mixture into a clean jar, seal and label.
