    Birthday present4
Our son bought my husband the machine as a surprise for his 70th birthday. Lunch was of course beefburgers and sausages, bacon and tomatoes - slightly overcooked as we were novices. However, one week on and we've cooked our breakfast every morning on it and it's been great. You do need to remember to switch it on as it takes a while to heat up. We haven't tried anything else but steak is on the menu for this evening so will look forward to trying that. Have only forgotten to put the drip tray in place on one occasion!!! Excellent gift and will be well used.

Lacks sufficient heat to brown meat well.2
Purchased a couple weeks ago. Easy to clean and use.

Unfortunately the heat generated by the grill seems to "steam" meat rather than fry it. It works well for white meats -- chicken breasts etc. Not so well for steak.

You definitely have to make sure the meat is at room temperature, and even then it seems to suck the heat out of the grill. I have even tried leaving it "on" a few minutes after the red light has gone off. Seems to maintain an even temperature.

Maybe I have a faulty unit, but it really does not get "hot" enough to do a fair amount of browning. :-(

ok firstly im a 20 yr old male who can just about manage to make beans on toast, i first came across this grill at my girlfriends house, she made the most amazing chicken kebabs on them, she showed me how 2 make them and i found it easy to do so i went and brought this one for my house
in just 10 minutes i have the most amazing and healthy chicken kebabs, Bacon takes less than 5 mins to do on there aswell,
since ive had it ive been been cooking peoples breakfast, lunch and dinner on it,
just plug it in and wait about 5 mins for the light to go off, that means its ready 2 be cooked on, and then place ur food on the grill and close the lid, its amazing how much fat comes out from the food that is being cooked onto the tray that is provided,
it comes wiv a good set of instructions aswell with some tasty food ideas and its got a rough guide to what foods can be done on there and how long it should be under there for
so overall this is a great buy for the price u r paying, and its got me into the kitchen more which pleases my mum
