Manufacturer's Description
By itself, the RoomGroove makes an ideal iPod speaker and dock system, but combine it with other RoomGroove speakers, and you get an affordable, high-performance wireless home audio system that dynamically brings iPods, MP3 players, and any device with an audio output to life.

The RoomGroove iPod speaker system uses premium woofers, crossovers, and horn-loaded tweeters.

Enjoy your portable music in any room of the house.

Robust 2.4GHz wireless technology lets you listen to music on your computer via other RoomGrooves in your house. .
Designed as a clean and robust home speaker solution, you can create a wireless speaker system by using two or more RoomGrooves or KlipschCast systems--no wires or complicated setup are required. Each RoomGroove acts as a transmitter or receiver, meaning it can wirelessly send CD-quality music to other RoomGrooves or receive CD-quality music from transmitting RoomGrooves.

The robust 2.4 GHz wireless technology found in the RoomGroove offers unlimited add-on opportunities. To ensure that your RoomGroove network doesn't disturb other wireless devices, RoomGrooves are designed to sniff out your entire 2.4 GHz band to detect other wireless technologies in use, such as wireless routers, and then transmit around the spectrum used by those sources. You can avoid interference from neighboring systems by using the home code dial on each wireless RoomGroove speaker to select a code specific to all of your units.

As an added convenience, the RoomGroove gives you a choice of listening options based on what room you're in. For instance, if a home has three RoomGrooves and "Song A" is playing in the bedroom and "Song B" is playing in the office, then the RoomGroove in the kitchen can listen to either song or play what's on its own iPod.

Under the hood, the RoomGroove speaker system packs in premium 2.5-inch woofers, crossovers, and 1-inch horn-loaded tweeters to deliver accurate, efficient, and compromise-free acoustics. A frequency response range of 65 Hz to 17 kHz ensures that the music comes out crisp and clear.

The RoomGroove features a retractable dock that charges all iPods with dock connectors (except 2nd generation touch and 4th generation nano) and comes with Apple universal well inserts to accommodate multiple iPod sizes. Other digital devices can connect easily via an auxiliary input.

The RoomGroove not only brings out the best in your iPod, it also will work with your computer. All you have to do is connect the RoomGroove to your computer via its auxiliary input. Once it's connected, you can broadcast your computer's entire music library, including content from your favorite Internet radio station, to other RoomGrooves around your house.

Measuring 15.75 x 7 x 4.5 inches, the RoomGroove weighs six pounds. A remote control is included with the RoomGroove for added convenience. The RoomGroove is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

Klipsch rides again!5
Just set up my Room Groove, lovin it!

I already own the smaller STX model, which is great. I wanted another unit a bit bigger, so thought I would give this one a go.

Since I bought the STX in late 07, I have been checking the reviews as they have built up, I am pleased to see that others are sharing my enthusiasm for the overall sound quality and design, there are a few that are disappointed that it will not replace a 2K PA rig, hmmm. I can see dense people!

In general Klipsch seem to be building an excellent reputation in the UK for good quality at a price below the popular well known competitors. The Room Groove continues along the same lines in my opinion. Sounds great, looks good.

The wireless capability is a good idea, I don't own two units so cannot provide feed-back at this stage. I am sure I will at some stage in the near future.

If you want a quality Ipod speaker unit, look no further.
Cant afford this one? Get the STX.

Worth every penny5
I purchased mine from Amazon. I thought about Bose but thought it was expensive. I had never heard of Klipsch but did some research after I found the Room Groove on Amazon. I was very happy with what I read about the company and what the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere said so i made my purchase. Am I glad I did. It sounds great with a wide variety of music. Decent base, sharp vocals excellent piece of kit. Took it out of the box 4 hours ago and plugged the iPod in and played it all afternoon whilst I've been working. AND it looks great as a piece of 'furniture'. Even my wife is happy with it in the house!

Over the last 30 years we have had many types and make of Hi-Fi in our family. For the last 18 months we have used a compact Denon system but although good is not portable. Our son just upgraded to an 80gb ipod so at 50 years old we followed suit.
Having read the reviews on the Klipch,Bose and Tanoy docking systems we decided to try the Klipsh.
I,ve come home from work to find the system up and running.
The sound reproduction across the range is really good with no distortion
at all. The whole unit is solid and well built. As I had never heard of Klipsh before maybe they need more exsposure in the UK. At under £200.00 this is a bargin that I would strongly recomend concidering.
