Get this or Dracula will be simply Furious.5
Great game. It's a slow build because to rules take a while to get to grips with. You'll be constantly looking back at the rulebook the first few times,
but it somehow captures the gothic nature of the original story.

I have not had good experiences with this game.

The basic concept is similar to that of Scotland Yard: 1 player runs around the board trying to avoid capture, whilst the other players try to find them. There are a few key differences. You have to kill the 'Robber' in this case. The robber is an near-immortal vampire. The robber can fight back. The robber can win if he bites a hunter enough times. One hunter starts the game with a bite.

The amount of fun you have with this game will depend absolutely, totally and completely on the personality of the player playing Dracula. Get someone who is fun, enjoys a challenge, not too competitive, not a sour loser and not smug power-gamer and you might start to have a good time. As long as you have a good team of hunters. Or you play it two player and play the hunters as a team. If one hunter decides to 'go it alone' or dominates the group or is a sheep that goes with the crowd, enjoyment may be bypassed as Drac constantly disappears towards Prussia in (yet another) cloud of bats.

'Frustrating' as a word to describe a 2 hour game of this interactive Sudoku puzzle doesn't quite reach my depth of feeling towards it. However, if you have a group of people that enjoy Scotland Yard and are looking for something more- this may very well be what you have been waiting for. Also if you have a bunch of children you are looking to keep amused in a team-building game for a couple of hours, this might be for you. I could see a group of teenage boys being reasonably amused by this as long as no one decides to take it too seriously. Maybe I have never found the right sort of people to play it with, but I can't really find much in it to keep me motivated to continue looking.
