Welcome edition to the original
This game is underrated, its big in other countries but not here in the UK and it should be, its easy to understand, simplistic gameplay means you can be playing for hours and not notice. This is an expansion to the first main game The Settlers of Catan (New Edition) and adds a great new variety to the already brilliant fun, giving a larger playing area and new gameplay techniques. If you give this game a try you can discover its hidden greatness as others across europe have, it rivals the long lasting competitors such as monopoly and cluedo with its uniqueness. Great game
We have played Settlers of Catan and really enjoyed it and had not realised how much the Seafarers expansion increases the options of how you play. It doesn't just add the new dimension of the sea, you can play with many different layouts of the board with slightly differing rules and objectives. You don't ever have to get bored with playing the same game. We particularly enjoyed the Wonders of Catan version in which you have to adapt to a completely different strategy because the objective is not to win by acheiving the required number of victory points but by building a Wonder of Catan.

We are also impressed by the guality of the card from which the pieces are constructed and the thought that has gone into the arrangements within the box for storage. A first class game and worth the additional expense to buy this expansion.

Excellent expansion for an already excellent game.
If you enjoy Settlers of Catan then the Seafarers expansion is a great expansion. The addition of sea routes and islands really builds very well on the additional concept.
Plenty of scenarios are included.
