Weapons and Combat
Keeping with the games' user friendly approach, the control scheme has been designed with Jedi character's lightsaber and force powers, as well as clone characters firing trigger accessible from a single input source. Because of the difference in the character classes weapons, combat differs depending on the class chosen. Due to their reliance on the their lightsabers, Jedi will mostly engage enemies at close range, although force power attacks can allow for more distance from targets. In addition, utilizing Jedi powers at point blank range players are able to engage in "droidjacking," which allows a Jedi to take control of a droid's weapons system and other abilities. On the other hand, clone character combat relies more on firepower, utilizing a variety of blaster type weapons and thermal grenades, although clones are able to acquire heavier weapons, such as miniguns and rocket launchers as the game progresses. Because of the projectile nature of these weapons clone character combat can be fought as a variety of distances.

Customer Reviews

GREAT GAME, no seriously its beyond awful1
Well the demo was shockingly bad.
The reviews are giving the full game between 3/10 to 5/10.

The good
-Its Star Wars
-They have the voice Actors
-The sound is good.

The amazing bad
-Awful Controls
-Shoot with the R stick? Really? Its like Smash TV in the 80's.
-It looks like a ps1 game played on the ps2 while looking through your own tears.
-Jedi can't die, they come back to life faster then Optimus Prime.
-Take over droids by stabbing them? Had that even worked on anything?
Do you want even the smallest chance that your kids will stab something to control it.
-Yoda tells you how to do everything, and I mean everything, short of up is up and down isn't up.

The Rant
Where is Battlefront 3 ?
Where is Rogue Squadron X ?
Where is the originality ?
Why can't any star wars game be good? Why? Whats so difficult?
A starwars fps, flight sim or RPG that you don't have to play online is badly needed.

Verdict
2/10 for creating a crappy game and disappointing us all, again.

Try before you buy2
This has just been released on the PS 3 network as a downloadable playable demo. Having tried it today i can say it looks much worse than i thought it would and the controls seem very wobbly. I was hoping for another lego star wars type game that i could play with my son but first thoughts are that it is nowhere near this standard of game. I played as a Clone and the targeting of the lasers was poor. My son has played as a a jedi with a light sabre and this looks more user friendly. Download and try for yourself before you commit to buy though would be by initial thoughts having played 15 mins of the demo.

PS3 Demo review1
My three children played the demo of the game and their verdict was 'dad DON'T get it for us'... enough said.
