Customer Reviews

Just perfect5
I had PCs for 10 years and I become used to crashes , delays , viruses etc.
In the end I decided to invest in a Imac and try a new system , are they any better ? Oh boy they are !
The looks are a given and the machine is a focal point in the study room is very simple to install , not many cables to clatter the room and to install the printer ...well just plug it in.
The data transfer from the PC was slow and I had to use a few CDs but it did not take more than 1 hour. The antivirus program , another £30 , is brilliant and I never notice when is being use and does not slow down the system.
Itunes Iphoto and Safari are much better than anything microsoft will ever produce , in fact most PC run itunes these days.
I had the mac for 5 months and it has not crashed once.
From the time a press the start up to surfing the net is less tan 20 seconds , switching it off is also very quick.
All the other features , picture and sound quality etc are great.
Is a an expensive computer but is worth every penny.

BRILLIANT5
THE MAC, AS GOOD AS THE PC IS BAD.
HAD MINE FOR 6 MONTHS NOW AND IT JUST WORKS,NO TANTRUMS AND NO TROUBLES.
MY CHILDREN MUCH PREFER IT AND FIND IT SO MUCH EASIER TO USE IT THAN MY WINDOWS LAPTOP.
VERY EASY TO USE AND NO CRASHES,MAC OSX IS WHAT WINDOWS WANTS TO BE.
A 5 STAR QUALITY MACHINE AND OPERATING SYSTEM.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A response to some of the negativity4
I don't write too many reviews on here, but after seeing some bashing of this model I felt I should say something. I've had this computer for a little over a year now and it is fantastic! This is the device that made me switch from PC to Mac, and I've never looked back. Even after a year I don't regret buying the base model because it still performs brilliantly.
There was a review on here bashing the iMac for coming with laptop components and therefore being slow! I don't know what that person was using but this machine has been screaming along for me since day 1, and is still screaming. There was another review complaining about bluetooth and airport not working...can't say I've ever ever had a problem, and it doesn't seem a common occurrence, perhaps that reviewer should have had it replaced rather than complaining. Finally, someone complained that iPhoto kept loosing all their photos and there was no restore? Well firstly, Leopard comes with Time Machine, so as long as you have an external hard drive everything can be backed up every hour of every day. Secondly, I don't know what they were doing, but iPhoto is one of the easiest pieces of software I've ever used, and has never ever failed on me!
Are there any negatives? Well, as you get with lower spec machines the display is not as good quality as the 24" (not that you'd notice unless you had a 24" sat next to it). Also, I did have a dead pixel occur on the LCD after about a year, however this can happen with any LCD whether you pay £200 or £2000, so I wont hold this against the product.
Overall this machine is fantastic, and I would urge anybody to buy one. This particular model has been discontinued, making the base iMac around £900. I'm glad I picked this up when I did, and now it's reached the 2nd hand market it's an absolute steal.
Go on, you wont regret it!
