2008-2009 was another season to remember for Everton.

It didnt begin too well for The Toffees but once the players found their rhythm, there was no holding them back.

The run through to Wembley and the FA Cup final was littered with challenges but Everton responded to every single one of them and were unfortunate not to bring the famous trophy back to Goodison Park.

In the Premier League, a second consecutive 5th place finish was secured and with it another European qualification.

And all the drama was played out against a backdrop of cruel injury blows. Yakubu, Mikel Arteta, Victor Anichebe and Phil Jagielka all had their seasons prematurely ended and so the feat of reaching the cup final and finishing just outside the top four was all the more remarkable.

what a year
i am only 13 and that was definately the best season in my lifetime apart from 95.we did nt do that well in the league though that was the year i was born.I will never forget how we started to play as a team .we really united as a teamand played for each other and not just for them selves like ronaldo .I am a season ticket holder in upper bullens and its a brilliant way to re live the season.I think they should have made an extra disc with the semi and the final on because you can't by a semi dvd .Thats he one a really want those to day were the best days of my life and we need to get back there with a full strenght team.Don't forget to post a comment

TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY
DETAILED STORY OF A GREAT SEASON CONSIDERING A CATAOLOGUE OF INJURIES TO KEY PLAYERS DEPLETING A SMALL SQUAD. ALL THE GOALS FROM EVERY GAME ARE FEATURED AS IS THE NORM ON THE SEASON REVIEW DVD'S.
