A blast of soul from the past.
WOW! Smokey Joes cafe is an album must. Lieber and Stoller wrote music so unique and varied that it must be heard 1st hand the way it was meant to be heard. Listen to 'Hound dog' sung as a brilliant put down woman to man. This was what Lieber and Stoller really meant there music to be. Feel your spine tingle to Poison Ivy. Thrill to the upbeat mood of 'woman' and jig to husstle. This is an album of many moods and I do not know why anyone can bear to part with it as a seller. Take your album off the marketplace listen to it again and be moved enough to keep it as part of your collection forever.
