The Complete Kylie
An excellent purchase! I was really impressed with the level of research that has gone into this book, it is well illustrated, great fun to read and is written with a lot of love.

Get this book in your arms!
What a beautiful book for Kylie fans... like an encyclopedia of all things Kylie! Lots of great black white pics throughout and loads of colour in the four middle sections (Kylie and Dougal is so cute!), but best of all is every one of Kylie's singles and albums presented in chronological order, right up to her new releases, and reviews of her films, telly shows (including a few I'd never even heard of) and tours. I'm going to be loving this book for a long time! And I'm seeing her latest concert in July!

In many ways, this book is a Kylie biography with a twist. While the majority of other Kylie biographies out there focus on her life as a whole, `The Complete Kylie' instead presents itself as an extensive discography/portfolio of Kylie's work going right back to her work on Australian TV, right up to X and Doctor Who. The fact this book is so up to date is the first of many signs of quality that mark this book head and shoulders above the vast majority of unofficial books out there on Kylie.

The book itself is real nice to look at too. This is no flimsy paperback, we've got a full-on hardback book here complete with dustjacket and the picture used on the cover is just divine - the paper's good quality, the layout neat and presents all the information in an extremely useful way. So, part Kylie biography, part Kylie reference book - fantastic!

The book is extremely well written and has a personal touch to it in that the author is clearly a Kylie fan himself, offering unbiased opinion on all aspects of her career, showering her with praise throughout but at the same time not afraid to offer criticism of stuff like `Bio-Dome' too. There are a few spelling-mistakes here and there that should have probably been picked up on but aside from that the quality is amazing, especially when compared to other unofficial books on musicians out there. There's a fantastic selection of colour photographs in the book too.

The amount of research that has gone into this book is admirable. There's chart positions for all her singles, notes on popular b-sides and remixes and even details on limited release stuff like The Kylie Bible or seldom-seen Kylie films like Hayride to Hell and Diana & Me. In addition to this, from reading this book and hearing about all of Kylie's wondrous achievements throughout her remarkable career you just get an overwhelming sense of how much love there is for Kylie across the world.

Kylie means so much to me, she is an absolute inspiration and I'm sure thousands of Kylie fans around the world feel the same. This book then, is for us fans, a tribute to our fave pop darling, our Impossible Princess - the magical, beautiful, delightful Kylie Minogue. The book ends with the author's words - `Thanks for everything, Kylie. It's been fabulous!' and you just know it's true.
