Experience the spirit of Africa5
Out Of Africa- Original Soundtrack features all the soundtracks of the beautiful and breathtaking scenery of Africa. When you actually listening to the soundtracks, it feels though you are in Africa and relighting the key moments of the Oscar winning movie. If you like refreshing music, then this album to purchase. It is absolutely brilliant. Experience the spirit of Africa.

Short-schrift on gorgeous music!4
John Barry won an Oscar for this score and it still holds up as a classic. Each selection is moving and heartfelt. Barry is at his best here, by pulling emotions out and just barely keeping under the radar of over-whelming emotional sweeps. There is only one drawback to this soundtrack and that is that it is only a little over (33) thirty-three minutes long. That's a tragedy. You might consider buying the Royal Scottish National Orchestra's recording. I found it to be nearly identical and it certainly does justice to Barry's work.

Out of Africa, Out of Dreams4
Imagination can take you to the golden prairies of Africa but Out of Africa takes your imagination and brings it to life. Watching the film for the scenery alone is worthwhile but take that together with a facinating story based on true life with a list of characters that are played by some of the greatest actors and actresses and you have a film to watch time after time.
The bad guys are played to perfection, sometimes you hate them, sometimes you cannot help but sympathise with them. For me though, the reason I watch this film over and over is for the charisma that comes from the complicated romance between Robert Redford and Meryl Streep, certainly not the run of the mill romance, but a romance based on reality.
Not only though do you have beautiful scenery, a love story but also the story of a developing Africa and how the people who were settled there from foreign lands fell in love with the country and did everything in their power to improve conditions.
You may not think that a love story is the film for you but this one really does have something for everyone, struggles in the coffee plantations and man's achievement of conquering flight.
After watching this film you will be planning your next holiday to be on the plains of Africa. Enjoy it, again and again.
