Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Stars draws together, chronologically, the Cranberries' very best work. Their worldwide hit debut album is represented by the soft Celtic lilt of "Linger" and "Dreams". The follow-up, No Need to Argue, contributes five tracks, including the grungy "Zombie", while the anti-drug treatise "Salvation" and the street-corner-style "When You're Gone" appear from To the Faithful Departed, along with "Hollywood" and "Free to Decide". Both 1999's Bury the Hatchet and 2001's Wake Up and Smell the Coffee feature strongly as well, the latter being marked by the new-found contentment of the band's hitherto spiky vocalist Dolores O'Riordan.

As often with best-of packages, previously unreleased material is included, but as fans will know, the main reason to possess this CD is the Cranberries' unique combination of agonised love songs, vicious invective and beautiful melodies. --Dominic Wills

Customer Reviews

Best Compilation I Own5
This was the best compilation I have ever purchased. Normally you get a few good tracks, a few so-so and some rubbish. This album is excellent, I can listen to it from start to end (usually turned up loud) and only towards the end does it slip with the two new tracks, New York and Stars.

It is also extremely good value (if you can find it), as Amazon charges £9 for the normal edition and here you get the SE with bonus live cd and video of Zombie.

Just buy it now, before they run out!

what can I say...the cranberries4
This is a must have for avid cranberry fans, as well as occasional listeners like myself. It contains their most well known tracks, which I am ashamed to say have been on repeat on my CD player. That is the problem with greatest hits CD's it only contains those songs seen by the reconrd companies to be their greatest hits. It was worth buying, but I was disappointed when my favourite song was left out of the playlist.

Expectations3
I like the Cranberries music very much but was a little disappointed at the new sounds included in the old favourites. The original music in the original albums is much better.
