Customer Reviews

Highly melodic, great vocals, grows on you4
Ben Taylor sometimes reminds me of Jack Johnson, the way he tries to cram lots of words into every line. But his vocals are quite different. Ben Taylor has a smooth and sexy voice, blessed by both of his parents no doubt, but sounding uncannily like father James at times. Don't let this put you off, or attract you too much though. Ben's sound is his alone, and these songs are not like dad's. It's an unusual collection of songs, very nicely recorded and put together, some gentle, some uptempo, but all melodic and easy on the ear. I like 'Island' the most. Very hummable. 'No More Running Away' has a great chorus, like most of the tracks, and once you get into the songs, you won't be able to help yourself singing along to them. Nothing's perfect of course, and although the songs are catchy, they aren't what you'd call 'great songs'. But it doesn't matter, because they're good enough to make a really likeable album.

Great album for any occasion!!5
It's a very strange experience listening to a modern album that the voice is such a classic one!! This is a great album for driving in summer, its just a nice feel good piece.
I bought it for the song 'day after day', but from the first 10 seconds of the first song i was convinced it was a good buy. There is a nice mix of various moods and grooves, but all have incredible feeling and thoughtful lyrics that i can't think of many better.
Basically a great album and highly recommended to anyone.
