Lord of the Hammond5
THIS IS THE BUSINESS. Not since the Money Spyder has James Taylor presented a stripped back band free of horns and singers, leaving the instruments to rule the day. And rule they do. While the Money Spyder was an edgy raw beat soundtrack to the Carnaby Street of your dreams, this album is it's older more sophisticated brother - still happy to cut loose with a room full of go go dancers, but at the same time not afraid to show a bit more depth. With a cracking jazz feel to a lot of the guitar work, thanks to new boy Nigel Price (his solos are just sublime), a rock solid funk fuelled rhythm section, and of course JT's hammond all over this bad boy - you just can't go wrong.

JT Best yet5
This is my favourite James Taylor album ever. If you like Booker T and the MGs you'll love this. Hammond played at its best, Benson-style guitar and extremely tight bass and drums providing a funky rythm section. All tracks are composed by James Taylor allowing a fantastic freedom of arrangement.

Bang on form....again.5
Far from being a flash in the Acid Jazz heyday pan, James Taylor has for the past 20 years produced the goods, always changing and developing the JTQ sound. From the mod influenced Blow-Up EP, the classic funk of Wait A Minute, jazzy Get Organized, soulful Do Your Own Thing and commercial success of Super Natural, JT and his equally talented fellow musicians have continuously released material of the highest quality whilst entertaining fans through their forte - playing live. This album is another feather in his cap. Mr Taylor and his band have few equals.
