Customer Reviews

Good, but not perfect!4
Well, this is my first cooler. My laptop was literally burning and I just received it. First impressions... fans work very well. USB1.0 works fine providing the needed power. Notebook is much cooler and delivers a lot more performance. It's not 5 starts because it's quite noisy. Not annoyingly noisy, but noisy still. The cooler size is ok for my 15'' laptop, but it would probably be just perfect for a 14'' one, just because my laptop is about 1cm bigger than the cooler. Still, works very well. Great value for price!

Disappointing1
I bought this for my laptop which would have constant shut downs when it got overheated. For the first week or so, it worked great, however, it's very lightweight and not very sturdy at all, and since laptops get moved around alot (like the tray needs to be moved with it), it only lasted perhaps two weeks before it just stopped working one day (I had a few people look at it to determine what the problem was and no one could figure out why it just stopped working), the wires were flimsy, and under the tray the fans are VERY exposed (there are no cases for the fans beneath the tray), so they are prone to getting anything caught up in them. Most likely, if you buy one of these, it won't survive long if you need to move it around alot.

I've been since given an Akasa cooling tray which is alot more study, heavy and secure and has lived three weeks now with no problems. Don't think I'd buy anything else from the "MY-Link" brand.

Does what it says on the tin3
"You get what you pay for" about sums up this product. It does what it says it does, quite well actually. However, it is obvious that it's cheap when you use it, the fans are exposed at the bottom, so it needs to be on a flat surface, and the cables look like you need to be really careful with them.
