    Akasa Notebook Cooler - 5 Stars5
I did not buy this from Amazon, however, this does not matter. I questioned at first whether this would actually work, so I decided to try it out. It is dead easy to set up:

    1. Place notebook cooler on desk.
    2. Flick the switch on the back to on.
    3. Plug one end of the USB cable into the cooler, and the other into your notebook/laptop.
    4. Turn your laptop on, and the fans start going and constantly cool your laptop.

It's very easy, and even after hours of use on the laptop it still keeps it very cool. It's warm, but when my laptop base used to be so hot you could hardly touch it, and now it is only just warm, I find this product amazing. WOW!!!

    Does the trick!5
If youre looking for one of these, then you know exactly what its for, so I'll not bore you with a description of what it does. I'll give you some of the key points from my experience of it.

On the stand, the notebook sits at a slighlty upturned angle, which i find to offer a more comfortable angle to use than a standard 'flat' keyboard that most laptops use. This is really usefull when youre typing out a longer document.

The aluminium frame's well constructed, and not flimsy like some of the other models I've seen.

Keeps my notebook nice and cool, so cool infact that used on my lap, my knees feel cold after a while!

I would say this is a very quiet cooler, but "ultra quiet" is a bit subjective.

Buying here is cheaper than PC World, but isn't everything?

Yes it is a bit narrow for my 15.4", but the rubber feet sit on it ok, if its to narrow for your notebook, then have a look for some sticky back foam to protect yours.

The supplied cooler is black, not silver, but looks good, and is unobtrusive when under your laptop (and black coolers should theoreticly be better for absorbing heat).

So good, I've got one for my dad for xmas, as he was quite envious of mine when he saw it!

Excellent cooler, with pros and cons though4
The pros are this cooler really is very cool, and quiet. I have actually gone to sleep with the fans still going (drawing power from the laptop even in standby) and not noticed they were on.

The cons are that its not comfortable for your lap, not a problem if you keep your laptop on a desk at all times, but I don't. I get large red marks where the back of the stand presses into my legs. I have tried to solve the problem with a cushion but then the cushion impedes on the fans.
The other minor problem is that because its metal, its sharp and its heavy. I have managed to pull threads out of my sofa and my cushions by trying to move it around and the corner has caught the material.
I have quite a heavy laptop already and this unfortunately adds to that weight quite a bit.
However I am overall thrilled with this item, its great quality, and shows no signs of faults or anything even though I have had mine for over two years now. Definitely worthwhile if you don't move ur laptop around much.
