The great thing about retirement options today is there are many new and exciting opportunities to choose from. Did you know, for example, that nearly as many 'oldies' are taking gap years as students? And, retirement villages and retirement apartments are now becoming the way of the future. They offer independence, security and 24 hour help, along with many other facilities for older people to enjoy. These developments embrace the concept that growing older doesn't mean compromising on your lifestyle. As with any important decision, retirement choices have to be all about research and the more you know the better off you will be. So take your time and explore all the options, as what you decide to do later, could affect your planning now.

Customer Reviews
An excellent book really informative
My daughter bought me this book on the grounds that i did not do what the title said! I'm so glad that she did as this book has encouraged my husband and I to really think about what we want to do. It covers everything from goverment allowances to day trips on the Orient Express. I loved the section on where to live and retirement overseas and we are know looking at both options. I would strongly recommend this book.
serious but fun
Serious subject exercised in a fun manner but the message is clear think ahead and make the most of it while you can. Very informative.
Very Informative
My Children bought this for my birthday...they thought as a joke regarding spending their inheritance. It is a good title and I feel richer for reading it. I have been in a newsagents all my working life but retirement now is near and my wife and I are happy about it. I did not realise there was so much choice until reading this book. I am going to use it as my guide and will invest in a retirement apartment and will travel. There is an interesting section about learning something new and I will do this.
