Customer Reviews

Superb Series5
What a clever and 'thinky' drama. Love the plots, the twists and turns and the intelligent dialogue and acting.

Glenn Close simply shines whilst sending shivers down your spine too.

A great box set, but am still left wanting more!

Very good but...4
A very good TV series with a number of impressive members of the cast - Glenn Close is absolutely superb here. The story of high-flying New York lawyer who approaches the law in her own inimitable style is well-written, well-paced and well-shot. And still I have my reservations as this series left me rather cold.
This is a story in which basically nobody is loyal, nobody likes anybody else, and greed is the only motivation. The heroes seem completely blind to the costs they must pay for their successes - they pay with their own lives, that of their near and dear, their relations and feelings. Everything they say or do can and most often is used against them with good deeds being punished with utmost cruelty. Everything here may be a collateral damage - the title is not misleading although it takes a while to get the message.
I watched the series with interest (yes, it is gripping) but also with a bit of distaste. If you haven't seen it yet, you've just been warned.

Clever3
Very clever plot and montage, with a lot of flash-backs ans flash-forwards which are a tease and also help maintain the tension.
