Great wireless Printer Copier & Scanner5
I bought this after trying the ESP3 I wanted to go wireless other added benifits are second photo tray for printing 6x4 photos. Your paper is closed in keeps dust from getting on it and it does duplex printing. I had a problem with it at the start it was printing all photos with a pink sheen across the photo I tried cleaning heads & realigning but still no joy. I then phoned Kodak using the number in the instruction book. I explained the problem to the lady she booked me for a return call that i got later that day 2 working days later i had a new print head after installing problem was solved and it is working great.

Only Average Rating I'm Afraid !....3
Kodak ESP-7 WiFi All in One Printer. Let me first of all state that what initially influenced me was the cost of the ink. That said I did read up quite extensively on WiFi printers, incl the WHICH report which gives this printer a very favourable review. (as it does with the Kodak ESP-3 & 5 printers) So ordered it and installed. It found the WiFi set-up immediately. Very easy to install. So far so good. Printed off some black/colour documentation writing stuff and was happy with the result. Got around to the photos....... and the printer falls way short. Changed the colour cartridge just in case and it was still the same even on the units `best' settings. My test photos were all coming out slightly hazy. The colours all appear to have this annoying white tinge. They are not `sharp'. Powdery would perhaps explain it much better. Don't get me wrong as standard give away type photos they are acceptable, the smaller you go the better. ie: 6x4. However for the max A4 printouts, using the same photo for each test, the results, for me, are not acceptable. As an example~: When printing photos I can only achieve a max of 200dpi on the Kodak printer (this cannot be altered at all, the printer choses this setting for you auto) whereupon on the Hp printer YOU can chose the setting you require. Up to 600dpi in fact giving a massive difference in colour photo printing.

This ESP-7 printer has Draft, Normal and Best settings and that's it. The colour photo printouts are not a touch on my HP printer which gives me so many more print options and much `deeper, sharper colour photo printouts. Perhaps that's because the HP printer has 6 colour cartridges. I don't know really. So to sum up, this can be classed as almost a DIY basic printer with a WiFi set-up thrown in. For me it's Ok for letters and documents, and maybe (because of the overall cost of the ink) I can use it for draft stuff and to give away small photos. Other than that I was disappointed. I suppose it all depends on what you want this printer for and the standard of the photo printouts you require. I think my Hp printer has, perhaps, spoilt me for choice. All IMHO of coarse

Great printer from Kodak with incredible ink prices5
I must disagree with one of the other reviewers - this is fantastic at printing A4 photos, as well as 4x6, and web pages, text document and even party invites - I recently bought an ESP7 and it's a great all-round printer for the home and study - the inks last 3 times as long as my old HP and are less than half the price! I printed over 50 of my wedding photos in A4 and it didn't even use up the colour cartridge.

I did have to run a print head clean, and do a nozzle correction (go to maintenance / Nozzle correction or print head clean) which fixed a couple of problems I had with the initial photo quality but it's so easy to use with the onboard screen instructions.

I also checked the print resolution on the Kodak website and it prints up to 9600dpi but my experience of printing photos is that 300-600dpi is plenty.

The photo quality is fantastic, it has two paper trays (A4 and 5x7/4x6) so don't have to switch from plain to photo each time.

It has a duplexer so I can save on paper too by printing on both sides.

It's incredibly easy to use - set up is easy straight from the box, I didn't have to use any cables to connect WiFi - the printer found my network and the on-screen instructions are really easy to follow.

The kids are always printing photos from memory card and I used to have to limit what they print - now I don't have to worry as the ink is such great value (and great quality).

The copier/scanner is also really great - I copy all my documents at home now and have even scanned in a load of old photos - which you can do three at a time because the software recognises the photos on the glass.

    Well done Kodak!
