A little gem
A very neat little gizmo, ideal for encouraging writing skills in preschool age children. Several settings, for drawing shapes, forming letters and one for more artistic endeavours. Good for early pen control practice. A couple of minor criticisms - You do have to press awfully hard with the "pen" to have the mark register on the screen, not always easy for young children. As most parents will testify, it's always nice to have a degree of volume control on electronic toys, something which the Letter Pad lacks. Having said that, you're greeted by the cheery tones of Cbeebies' Justin - which could be a positive or a negative, depending on time of day and the mood of the parent at the time! On the plus side it does switch itself off after several minutes without use to save battery power - always a bonus, and is robust and well made. A bit of a bargain for the price.
