Customer Reviews
All he did that hasn't been hid!
As the title suggests, this is a pretty definitive Donovan collection covering the Scottish singer's musings from the mid-sixties to the mid-seventies. This double CD does stretch Donovan's talent a little thin at times, but all the hits are here. There are also some wonderful gems like 'Barabajagal' and 'Celia of the Seals'. It always seemed to me that Dylan got it right in 'Don't Look Back', when he saw Donovan off as a serious contender. But what Donovan did do was to give us were some great trippy-dippy pop songs that have stood the test of time.
