Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
Invincible, the second offering from Five is, like the band's eponymous debut, a mixed bag. Featuring the utterly magnificent top-three single "If Ya Gettin' Down" (based around the hook from Indeep's hip disco classic "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life"), the band's only number one, the Motownesque "Keep On Movin'"(ironically one of their weakest singles), the odd cheesy ballad ("Invincible") as well as a smattering of pure pop genius--"Mr Z" and the faux sci-fi theme tune "Battlestar". In today's world of throwaway pop music, Five have earned themselves the accolade of being the boy band that even boys and the hip music crowd like, largely due to their winning combination of stomp-pop, tough image and camaraderie. All this has secured them a somewhat unexpected longevity as far as bands of their particular ilk are concerned--good on 'em. --Ronita Dutta

CD Description
If it's great pop music that you're after, with Five (J, Abs, Ritchie, Scott, and Sean), you've come to the right place. The opening trio of hit singles from this, the band's second album, is irresistible.
"If Ya Gettin' Down" is followed by the uplifting "Keep on Movin'" and the defiant "Don't Wanna Let You Go". All this in front of the excellent cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You", with Ritchie in top form. Things then mellow out nicely in the middle of the album, with Five proving as adept at handling the ballads as they are with up-tempo numbers. There's a good range of styles here, and some outrageously catchy tunes that are offset nicely by some great pop lyrics and rapping.

Customer Reviews

A brilliant sound!5
This CD rocks! Five are an ultra original, pure pop and rock band! Unlike most boy bands, they can actually sing, and this album is the best yet! There are loads of new, unheard of tracks - like Mister Z and Battlestar. There are also favourites such as Keep On Moving and We Will Rock You. The best track, I think, is Invincible, even though it makes me cry every single time - nice one Five!

Five kicks the arses of all the other boy bands!5
This smashing CD makes us expect more from Five! They are totally different from other boy bands, in fact they're more like the Spice Boys! No cheesy ballads that don't ring true (well alright there are two ballads but they don't seem cheesy) Five are like hip-pop!

A fantastic album, even better than their first!5
A brilliant album with brilliant tracks, by far the best album in my collection, apart from their first! My personal favorite is Mr Z, because it's up beat and funky. I also love Invincible, though it make me cry! If you haven't seen them in concert your missing out! My favorite is J, because he's Gorgeous, i also adore Abs.
