Great Early Lena Martell
Tracks recorded between 1964 and 1971 on Decca )are really well produced and show her progression as a recording artiste and the development of vocal prowess. Sleeve notes full of detail, though they fail to acknowledge Lena's increbile successes in the Album charts through the 1970's on Pye records and even in recent years on Scotdisc. A must for collectors and those interested in high quality MOR/Pop music with a blues feel, and in some instances, quality show tunes (well phrased and delivered)and beat/country songs. Had Lena been better promoted and less publicity shy, she could (and indeed should) have had many more hit singles. A fine vocalist. Julian
