Every LFC fan should have a copy5
Football and statistics. Not a natural combination (and it doesn't help that I hate numbers) but the way they're written about and presented here actually makes for a pretty good read.

And surprizing too. Turns out that a few players I'd thought were a complete waste of space actually do have their uses. The authors are very thorough in examining every aspect of individual player's strengths/weaknesses and the team as a whole-formations, best starting eleven, different defence line-ups, summer buys etc.

Armed with all this lot, you'll never lose an argument about football down the pub again. Well, so long as you stick to talking about Liverpool.

A Surprisingly Good Read5
Ive never been the greatest fan of stats and so hearing that this was what the book revolved around I wasnt in a particular hurry to purchase it. But then having enjoyed Paul Tomkins' other 2 books (Golden Past, Red Future & Red Revival) so much Im happy to say that I gave it a chance.

The way in which the stats were presented and used as support for the accompanying text made for a great book, and one which Im sure will bring enjoyement to all Reds who enjoy reading about their club.

A surprisingly good read that I would recommend to all.

The future of football reviews.5
At last some one who knows how to review football properly. As a reds fan and a football fanatic this book covered everything i wanted to know about Liverpool FC since Benitez took charge. All aspects of the team were covered with interesting new stats and informed reviews on the players and the team performances domestic, european and cup games.
The stats don't lie 100% brilliant.
