Customer Reviews

Excellent5
Wasn't sure if it was worth upgrading the cable on my Wii - after all, it's not meant to output fantastic graphics.

However, I for the sake of a fiver or so, I decided to buy this - and definitely haven't regretted it! The picture quality on my Samsung LCD is very much improved - text is crisp and clear, colours rich. It really has made a big difference, and I'd definitely recommend.

Does what it's supposed to.5
For anyone connecting a Wii to a HD tv via scart (or composite) cable - you may be losing out on picture quality - using scart, the Wii interlaces the signal, then the tv de-interlaces it - and some HD tvs, especially cheaper brands, don't do it all that well, producing a poorer quality picture - so getting a cable like this means you can set the Wii to output using 480p (progressive, not interlaced) in the Wii settings, and you may get a much nicer picture.
I have a low-priced 32" HD TV, and there is a big improvement using this cable instead of scart - though some people, usually with the more expensive brands of HD TV, may not find so much of a difference to their picture quality.

Cheap and cheerful5
I haven't ever purchased a Nintendo official component cable so I can't directly compare BUT this cable has certainly dramatically improved the picture quality. Image is now pretty much razor sharp. Very happy with purchase. Especially at the price paid. Highly recommend!
