Look good, sound good for price, easy to install
The good: Easy, simple set up, just plug in via USB and go. No need for sockets for a power adapter, no tangle of wires. They look good. Omnidirectional sound comes from all speaker sides, so you can place them anywhere and don't need to find that perfect sweet spot speaker set up position. Sound is fine if you have no high end hi fi expectations, for desk top speakers it is impressive. High volume with little distortion, reasonably rich sound and OK for all types of music.
The downside: The tiny remote does not work with Spotify or anything beyond mainstream media players. No volume control apart from Windows own. I solved this by downloading volumouse which lets you use the mousewheel as an instant volume controller.

Firstly, Amazom pricing was competitve and delivery ended-up being quite speedy.

The product itself was lovingly packaged and installed seamlessly: recognised immediately by Windows XP (SP2), and then the software installation was straightforward; no issues.

The sound quality is very good, volume impressive, and the remote works great with iTunes. The styling is, of course, typical Logitech perfection, and the functionality doesn't disappoint.

Perfect for installation in the kitchen (on top of the fridge) connecting to the Notebook and playing Podcasts while cooking dinner...! No more worrying about charging batteries, or finding an extra power outlet...

May even buy a pair for installing on the Desktop in the study/office...

Quality speakers
I have no hesitation in recommending these speakers. We bought them to plug into a Toshiba laptop. The sound quality is excellent and the volume is more than adequate, particulalry considering their size and that they are powered directly from a USB socket. The remote is a bit hit and miss which is the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars.
