AV Mode LG TVs have 3 special preset AV Modes which provide the best suitable image quality and sound for specific types of content.They are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control.

	Invisible Speaker Wide Sweet Spot - The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker system, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. 	Clear Voice Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear human voices over the background sounds of their environment, due to the down-mixing that occurs to push 5.1 surround-sound through a TV’s 2 channel speaker system. The Clear Voice feature alters the sound balance to emphasise human voices and reducing the background noise All input source (RF/AV/Component/HDMI) as well as Stereo and Mono broadcast can be controlled by Clear Voice.
	Simplink LG’s SIMPLINK system can control all the connected AV devices with one remote control. By pressing the SIMPLINK remote control key, you can switch on and control all devices connected by HDMI. When the TV is switched off, all connected AV devices are automatically switched off as well.

Good price/performance
Sorry, didn't buy from Amazon this time! Note that 5000, 5010, and 5020 are really same product (I asked LG). Looked at this with other 37 inch 1080p TVs in several shops and it always seemed at least as good as anything in its price class and indeed better than some costing rather more. The tuner side works well, our Wharfedale box (about a year old) would drop signal on the non-BBC multiplexes to the extent that on a bad day it was unwatchable, the LG doesn't lose signal at all so far. I should add we are definitely in a poor signal area, we can only get Freeview at all because we're on a hill, the transmitter is almost 50 miles away (obviously we have a serious antenna). If you're picky the picture isn't perfect but it's certainly good for a TV in this price class, the EPG is good with only one minor niggle, the controller is good and includes a quick view, and the sound is about all you could expect from a standard moderately priced TV - if you want tremendous sound especially bass you need to add a sound system and that applies to almost all TVs. We also get a really good result with a low cost DVD player, looking forward to getting an upscaling player and using one of the three HMDIs. Oh - and channel change is not always as quick as one might wish but that will generally apply if you are changing to a channel on a different multiplex. It would be awfully mean not to give this 5 stars.

Hopefully I will be able to post a more detailed review later. But I am writing this review that I have had the tv for 2 days and I have tried everything e.g games watching films and tv. I just want to say that it is an amazing piece of kit. Don't be put off by reviews like I nearly was.

Great TV

Amazing TV
Amazing! I bought this set as a TV, not interested in things like games or Blueray. The set up was very easy, the sound is excellent, the depth of focus is very good and I am impressed. I have not yet got around to fiddling with it yet as, at the moment, I am just happy watching it.
