Amazon.co.uk Review
Orphan slave, Claidi, has only known life behind the hallowed walls of the world of the House and the Garden, suffering beatings and shamings by the ruling families who live in decadent luxury. When that world is threatened by the arrival of a handsome and rather sleepy Prince, Claidi is ordered to rescue him. With the luscious prince in tow she embarks on a fantastical journey which takes her through the savage Waste, towards the promise of ultimate freedom from her slavish chains and into the realm of the imposing and darkly mysterious Wolf Tower.
Tanith Lee is a force to be reckoned with in the world of fantasy fiction and here, in Law of the Wolf Tower, she turns her expert hand to a tale filled with strange and exotic landscapes, lost princesses, handsome princes and a journey through time which is unremittingly mesmerising from beginning to end.
A bewitching, utterly delicious fantasy adventure filled with the promise of freedom and romance, Law of the Wolf Tower is a stylish, cleverly executed book that takes young readers deep into an imaginary land where everything and anything is possible. (Ages 9 and over) --Susan Harrison

enjoyable read
I just finished reading the first of this series and am excited to read the rest. It was just released in the States and I am glad I found it. Cladia is an appealing herione and seems to be realistic in her reactions. The settingwhile fantsastic is not unfimilar and leads to the realism Overall, very enjoyable read for young girls.
No truer tale of courage and love has ever been written
A fantastic fantasy story about courage and strength.
Leaving behind her life as a battered slave serving nobles Claidi ventures out into the world she has never seen with a handsome prince. They travel through many wonderful lands in a journey to his land of Wolf Tower.
Along the way the two meet a group of bandits, headed by Argul, a savage and rude leader, or is he?
This story is truely wonderful. I recommend it be read by teenagers and adults alike.
A gripping novel; I couldn't put it down
This book is written in first person, which makes it feel like you are really there. The vivid descriptions and colourful imagery also add to this sense of depth and feel. You are not told precisely where this book is set, but this only adds to the feeling of mystery that the book gives off. Claidi's character is strong, but confused about which path she must take; whether it be with Nemian, the handsom but rather lonsome traveller, or with Argul, the tall dark leader of the bandit tribe.
The end is rather surprising, though I shall not give it away for I do not wish to ruin it for anyone who is thinking about reading the novel, for I thoroughly recomend this to anyone who likes children's fantasy writing.
