Once again Allanon, ancient Druid Protector of the Races, must seek the help of a descendant of Jerle Shannara.

Customer Reviews

Extremely Dissapointing.1
This is probably the worst work of fantasy ever written, the series are surrounded with excessive amount of completely undeserved hype. The plot is generic , the world is bland and characters one dimensional. At the start it seems like the plot is going somewhere but in reality never delivers. A poor atempt to create an epic series.

Simply Awfull , dont trust the hype and spend your money somewhere else.

BORING1
If you want to read LOTR lite then this is the book for you. But please.... what a rip off. I got so frustrated with it that I actually threw it in the bucket. Not to mention the name of the Gandalf character "Alanon" is that not where the relatives of alcoholics go to deal with their issues? After reading this I think I may take up the drink.

V. Good, but somewhat repeated in the remaining 2 books of the trilogy4
This book was good. No 2 ways about it if ur a fantasy fan. But, even though the storyline and characters are good, I feel somewhat amazed that this man has made 2 more books on the baisis that the books are the same with different names, slightly different plots, and a different ook cover. I suggest you read the first book in this trilogy, and then stop. No offense to Terry Brooks, because they are OK books, but I'm 3/4 way through the third and I already can guess what is gunna happen.
