Louise Cohen is Emeritus Professor of Education at Loughborough University of Technoloy.
Lawrence Manion was formerly Principal Lecturer in Music at the Manchester Metropolitan University.
Keith Morrison was Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Durham before becoming Professor of Education and Dean of the School of Education at the Inter-University of Macau.

Excellent - a 'must have' for trainee teachers
Although this book is aimed at primary and secondary school teaching, many aspects are relevant to the Post-16 sector, especially now that 14-16 students are on campus. For those in Post-16 you will find all the answers to 'what happens in secondary school', and how your post-16 students will have been taught before they got to you. Many aspects of teaching, such as behaviour management and cooperative learning are covered in a way that will help you to develop your own teaching strategies. There is also a useful section on legal issues, again a grey area for the 14+ students now in your care ...

An excellent book
As a PGCE student this book was my bible while at university and in preparation for teaching practice. It is a good starting point for almost all assignments and essays. It also has a wonderful, easy-to-read and practical chapter on behaviour management.

It is clearly structured, well written and very accessible. I cannot recommend this highly enough!
