This is a beautifully-made product; my 2-yrs.-old grandaughter loves it! It is bright and colourful and it's a very manageable size. It is big enough to produce a pleasing sound - unlike some! H&S concerns see its sticks safely tethered and they clip into the body of the drum very well. If there is a slight criticism - from an adult player, mind you! - it is that the length of the soft, wide cords (another plus-point) are just the slightest bit too short to enable the drum to be played on both sides at once; it is possible but awkward. Maybe the absence of a factory-fitted way of wearing the drum wisely reflects Health & Safety concerns about neck cords, but it is truly a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT that can produce satisfying sounds with hand, fingers, beaters for playing along with those jolly kiddy CDs. It does help children's sense of rhythm; the smiles are huge and it doesn't drive the household's listeners crazy.

We looked at many variants before choosing this drum and believe it to be the best around for a very fair price. Delivery was fast and the smile on the birthday-girl said it! "Brilliant!"

Just an ok drum
I guess as a drum it;s ok, but the strings on the drumsticks are so short my baby can't really use them much - she raises hand and the drum moves after the drumstick. She prefers to bang on the round carton box with a big wooden stick, so for the moment is not used much.
