An invaluable reference source on brewing Belgian Ales.
For the experienced home-brewer wanting to brew authentic Belgain-style ales, this book is an excellent reference source. For the novice wanting to learn more about this country's unique range of beers "Belgian Ale" offers an invaluable insight. All the major styles are covered, including Trappist and Abbey beers, brown beers, saisons and white beers, with tasting notes for the main commercial examples of each style. Also included are recipes, so that both home-brewers and micro-breweries can recreate for themselves, some of Belgium's finest ales. Pierre Rajotte has certainly done his homework for this, the 6th in the excellent "Classic Beer Style Series" from Brewers Publications of Boulder, Colorado. I thoroughly recommend the book to beer lovers everywhere.
