Customer Reviews

Good for photographs, poor for easy to find information3
I think these top ten guides are hit and miss and for some may not be useful. That was the case for us - we only had time for a relatively small part of the island and would have been better off with a more detailed book even if this meant we didn't use parts of it. As it is the book provides interesting reading but you'll find yourself skipping about the book looking for info on the areas you want to visit. Info on single places/areas is scattered, appearing in both the main text and in the top ten lists.

However, for images of Crete then there are few better guidebooks.

It does what it says on the packet3
The guide had everything I needed for a visit to Crete. On occasion it did represent a triumph of advertising over substance, but that could be down to expectations being too high. A very useful resource, but be wary of the hype.

Never Received1
I placed the order for this book almost 2 months before my trip to Crete and it never came. I contacted the seller and they told me to ask the neighbors and the Post where it was. I did that and of course they had no idea. I wrote back to the company requesting a refund but they never responded. My trip has come and gone and the book, should it ever by some miracle arrive, is worthless to me now.

I would advise caution in buying from this organization. They do not track orders, and are very unhelpful if something goes amiss.

I would not buy from this company again. Lesson learned.
