Fine fondue set
It's hard to write a review of a fondue set because, frankly, how different can fondue sets be?
This one is unexceptional and seems to do the job just fine. It is quite attractive - a matte black cylinder.
Beware, though: when bought it comes in a box. The top part of the fondue set is attached to the bottom part by double-sided black sticky things. These are supposed to keep the two parts together in the box, and the instructions say to remove them. Unfortunately they are VERY sticky (it is almost impossible to remove the residue completely from the fondue set) and if you pull too hard the black glaze on the fondue pot will come away with the sticky thing.
So, to sum up: the fondue set works well and we had a fantastic dark chocolate fondue with banana and mandarin segments the other night. However the packing is awful and may well damage the set. Thus the mixed review.
great gift idea
The fondue set is both practical and stylish and a fantastic idea for a gift. It is very good value for money and now I have mine it always comes out when i'm entertaining guests!
